Herbert Mills Fine China Catalogs on CD
A rare find for Herbert Mills collectors - these rare catalogs (Oner each from the 1930's and the 1940's) will make a wonderful addition to your collection. Located at at 11 King St. E. in Hamilton. The building still stands today, and if you look way up, you can still see the sign painted on brick -- Herbert S. Mills English Bone China, faded and haunted, up there since 1924.
Mills China had a worldwide reputation. In February, 1934, the mother of U.S. president F.D. Roosevelt came to town, she visited Mills to buy china for the White House!!!! probably from the styles found in this catalog!! Sadly, the demand for fine china waned and the store closed on Jan. 9, 1985.
