This CD collection consists of over 170 Photochrom photos of old street scenes, villages, towns, cities, buildings and famous landmarks from the 1890's. Photochrom's, are color photos which are produced from a black-and-white negative. The final prints were created using different color impressions from multiple lithographic stones.

The stones used by the Detroit Photographic Company were imported from Bavaria and coated with a special substance that would be chemically sensitized to light, put in contact with a photographic negative and exposed to the sun for up to several hours producing the beautiful images found on this CD.

Use these wonderful images in your special art and craft projects, Scrapbooking, decoupage, print and resell beautiful vintage photographs. Images are 300 dpi and in .jpg or .gif format ready for you to import into your favorite graphics program.
